Welcome to our tutorial on the new Client Project Portal! This online portal allows you to view and discuss your project with us seamlessly, without relying on lengthy email threads that can make it hard to locate specific information down the road.

The portal enables smooth communication between our teams throughout the project, bringing everyone on the same page. Itโ€™s organised into three main sections: Tasks, Discussions, and Files, all powered by FreedCamp.

Tasks Tab

In the Tasks tab, youโ€™ll find a list of tasks specific to your project. Typically, youโ€™ll see a โ€œClient Task Listโ€ at the top, where any tasks requiring your input are listed to help keep the project on track.

Some tasks may have speech bubble icons beside them, indicating additional details within. Just click on these tasks to view any notes weโ€™ve added for your review. Below these notes, youโ€™ll find a comment section where you can reply directly without needing to open your email. This keeps a running record of our conversation thatโ€™s easily accessible to all involved throughout the project.

Beneath the client tasks, you might also see other project tasks that weโ€™re handling on our end. Note that not all project tasks are displayed hereโ€”some are managed internally. The tasks shown are generally ones that may require your feedback, such as copy review, or ones that may be assigned to another team member later on, and we want to ensure they stay visible.

For your part, simply focus on the tasks within the โ€œClient Task Listโ€ section.

Discussions Tab

In the Discussions tab, we may initiate conversations with you about specific aspects of your project, allowing you to respond and keep all discussions organized and easily accessible.

If you have questions or want to start a new topic, simply click the โ€œAdd Discussionโ€ button. Be sure to give your discussion a clear, descriptive title, making it easy to locate should any of us need to reference it later.

You can also share files within discussions. For example, if you need to include a screenshot to clarify a question, just upload or drag the file directly into the comment area.

Occasionally, we may share helpful links or articles relevant to your project or tasks. This allows us to provide additional resources directly within the discussion thread.

Files Tab

The Files tab is where weโ€™ll share project files with you, and where you can upload files weโ€™ll need for your project. Depending on the project type, we may prepopulate this section with folders to keep everything organized for easy access.

For example, in this setup, youโ€™ll find folders like:

  • Customer Supplied Copy: For any text documents or content youโ€™re providing for your web pages.
  • Supplied Photos: For uploading photos or graphics youโ€™d like to include in the project.
  • Project Paperwork: This usually includes essential documents like the website proposal and signed contract, so everything important is in one place.

To send us a file, click the โ€œUploadโ€ button, browse your computer for the file, drag and drop it into the designated area, or upload an entire folder if you have a batch of files, like multiple photos, to share all at once. You can also notify us by selecting your project managerโ€™s name in the โ€œNotifyโ€ dropdown before clicking save. Thatโ€™s itโ€”your file will be sent directly to us!
